Fertilization

Fertilization along with regular mowing, watering and aeration are the keys to a beautiful but more importantly a healthy lawn. Fertilizers are combinations of plant nutrients that are essential to maintain healthy growth of your lawn. Correct use of fertilizers provide nutritional needs to the lawn without stimulating overgrowth.  Overfertilization can lead to excessive growth, thatch buildup and increased susceptibility to disease and insect damage.

Guilford Lawn and Sprinkler recommends that Colorado lawns are fertilized four times per season: including spring, early summer, late summer and a fall winterization application.  We use a commercial grade fertilizer which changes with the season and your lawns needs.
